You can just walkin to Dr Stern office. Even if you have an appointment with them, you may have to wait 0.5-1.5 hours depending on the time you go. If you go on weekend or weekdays after 5 you may have to wait longer but afternoon should be faster. And there fee may be more than $350 if you need to get shots and xray. Hope this help.
If you call them recp. will tell that appt is required but actually it is just walk-in and you may not get any preference ver people who walked-in.
Please share your experience with us when done.

Thanks for the link...Before this post i was with one green dot now with 8 red dots....thanks all those ass holes.
I don't give red dots to anyone and I did not give you any red dots, but I do have a question for you.
I don't you think your earlier post deserved red dots, but for this post, don't you think you deserve much worse than red dots for using foul language in public forums?

Just wanted to confirm - this discussion is pertinent only for cases where the new H1 (3 yr) is pending at the time the person travels overseas, right?
For example, if your current visa (and I-94) expires on Feb 28, but you already have a new visa valid for 3 years starting Mar 1, you can re-enter US within Feb 28. Then you can go to Canada/Mexico/Home country, get the new visa stamped on your passport, and on that basis get a new I-94, right?
I don't seem to see any confusion here....or am I missng something?

I applied for my EAD renewal during last week of Nov 2010, it took only 42 days to receive my renewed card. It got 2 years validity, validity starts from the next day of current EAD expiration date. Even though current card is valid for another 2 months, pleasantly surprised to receive the new card in USPS priority mail. Overall, job well done by USCIS as for as this EAD renewal in concerned.
My priority date is Jan 2007, not sure whether by extending it for 2 years USCIS is not expecting me to be current in the near future. Personally I am expecting to be current during this July - Sep time frame. Worst case at least it should be a touch and go scenario, fingers crossed.

Guys pls stop taking useless info pass appointments. People like me who have not received EAD and may loose the job are not able to get infopass appointments because of all the people taking appt to know the 485 status. Pls understand......
No offense to you however:
1: An infopass may and may not solve your problem (so don't count on that)
2: Not all infopass'ers are seeing your message
So - A better thing to do will be to remind USCIS of its duties by taking one/more of these actions until you get your EAD
- talk to local congress person and have them nag USCIS
- open a service request if your case is outside processing time
- send form 7004 to ombudsman
Good Luck

I am planning to leave my current employer and move to a different one. I have got my I-140 approved under EB3 category from the current employer. While moving to the new employer, I want to retain my priority dates. I would like to know what kind of documents are needed in order to do the same. I am presuming that a copy of I-140 approval notice would be needed from current employer that I am sure that my current employer would not give me. So what is my chance in this case? is there any way, I can get it from USCIS? Has anybody got it successfully from other than the employer? Are there any other documents , I need from my current employer. Please suggest.

WHat happens when they return the visa number to DOS? Can they request them again later or these numbers are just wasted for this year?
Thanks!
Since the year is not over yet (until SEP30) , DOS can adjust the dates in next (interim ?) bulletin accordingly. That does not mean they become current like original Jul bulletin did , but at least some people will be able to file.

Swede, Thank you. We need more people like you.
And to think of it so many people who could come to the rally, who are struck in the logjam and should come to the rally, did not come. It is a shame!!
It goes to show that IV represents everyone and not just Indians or Chinese. I am proud of all the Brits and other Europeans who not only joined the fight but led it from the front.
I was the guy from Sweden. I agree with the Russian student.
The reason I was there was because my green card process was a painful and stressful experience for 5 years. And I was still one of the lucky ones! I don't want to put anyone through the same agony, not even my worst enemy. I really feel for the people still stuck in the mess.
I talked to a Polish guy who had been here 9 years fully legally and could not leave. He had not seen his family in 9 years and did not want to risk going back just in case they would not approve his H1B in his home country. They are very strict there it seems, because none of his family members or friends could not even get a tourist nor visit visa to see his graduation. Shocking!
I was glad I showed up at the rally just to hear all the peoples' stories.
Most people who did not show up probably think they are ok after applying the i485. They will join IV rallies, when they realize how wrong they are. People have applied for i485s years ago and still don't have a green card...
You are in trouble until you get your green card in your hand.

Why do you guys have such a hard time believing....
Law says what it says
Visa bulletin has the notce
Berkleybee isn't saying anything in that conversation with DOS which isn't already covered by the law or the note in 2005 visa bulletin.
Still; everyone is thinking it is a mistake and it is going to get current in 3 to 4months?
The cynic in me believes that everyone thinks it is just a matter of time before it becomes current or there is significant movements in dates. This is dead wrong. All one needs to do is look at data coming out from backlog processing centers; amount of 245i labors; statistics on how many people have come on h-1b; l-1's, b visas, f visas, amont of perm labor approvals; amount of greencards approved over the last five years.
It is going to be a very, very long time before there is significant movement in dates.
The cynic in me thinks Berkleybee posted it in immigration.com so that people may now get the message the dates aren't going to move. They aren't going to move significantly next year either. There is TOO many people going for greencards.
As long as people think that the dates are going to move, then they sit on the fence and don't do much to get rid of retrogression.
I am sure if people could get convinced that in current environment; visa dates will never get current then people may have some urgency in participating to get rid of retrogression.
UN,
I have strong belief on your postings. Dont know about Berkleybee
I am from India EB3. I strongly believe that we can change this system, after all it is human made, outdated and obviously not suitable for current scenario.
So realistically what we can do about this, if so what would be the approach.

I was not bragging. I was just thinking out aloud, so to speak. Economic ups and downs like this this are a normal part of economic cycles in a capitalist economy. My observation is that IT industry is not as badly affected as other sectors. I have not seen people sitting without jobs for extended periods. I mean, some people do loose jobs but they get something else within a couple of weeks. That is pretty much normal functioning of markets.
This is not your normal recession... Whats happening right now is once in a lifetime event... This is the kind of stuff you will be telling your grandkids about! This is payback time of the excesses of the past 25 years of loose monetary and fiscal policy under Greenspan... Your observation about IT industry not being as badly affected is true only till the month of October... Till then things were in sort of slow motion esp in IT sector... Not anymore!
BTW here are a couple of my posts from 07

Not bad for an economics hobbyist! To quote from Jeff Goldblums 'The Fly'', "Be afraid, be very afraid...". 2009, 2010 are going to be BAD! The other thing to watch out for is the crime rate... Americans to a large extent have not known what real poverty is... The social implications of this fall out are going to be awfull... Don't take things for granted... If you thought that cushy job of writing apps for Facebook is safe, boy you are wrong... The depressionary train has already left the station and all we can do now is sit tight and watch!

I second to CC123. I had G-28 on everything. I got the EAD and AP directly. However, I did not get any original receipt notices from USCIS. My lawyer got the all original receipt notices.
In our case got EAD directly, but AP went to Lawyer.

Being in Consulting and searching a new contract at the same place of residence (during Nov-Dec) is always a nightmare. I'm in IT industry for last 10 yrs and into consulting for last 5 yrs and always tried to keep clients Extra-Happy starting Nov 1st , so that i could get thru these 2 winter months.
Starting Mid-Jan the budgets will open up and you will surely land up.
IT Jobs are there - worst case you may need to relocate.
Congratulations on becoming a new Father. Though your name sounds as if you were the mother :). Anyway, if you got 4 interviews in 6 weeks, that sure does not look like weak economy. I remember the recession of 2001-2002. People used to get one interview in 4 months back then.

NSC is like a lottery station. You have no idea when your petition will get adjudicated. Forget the dates. There are only two categories; lucky and unlucky. Lucky guys get out in one year. Unlucky guys stuck for three or four years.
As of now, they are concentrating all the resources towards approving as many Naturalization petitions as possible. Say, 70-80% of their resources are concentrated on that process. They are under tremendous pressure from politicians to get as many new voters for upcoming November elections as possible.
Hiring new staff and training them is going on but you will not see the results until January or February 2009. Apparently, these agents will have to go through thorough FBI check before selected for training. As usual, it met with few bureaucratic delays. They are at least 7 months behind their target in hiring new staff.
Remember, this same agency released "Strategic Vision" report in 2004, where they proclaimed to adjudicate I-140s in 180 days and eliminate backlogs before the end of Bush's presidency. Wow! what an efficient implementation of the "Strategy". Soon, they will come up with a "New Vision", which will get blurred within days. Story repeated.
So, EB guys, forget about our I-140s and 485s for a while. They will crawl, atleast until October end.
More over, what you are dealing with is the most inefficient and callous agency in the US government. Since this agency does not deal directly with US citizens, very rarely they will have to answer anybody, unless they screw up big time.
There are only two things that get you green card; patience and luck.
Good luck to all of us.
